Christian Pulisic has been informed by AC Milan team-mate Davide Calabria that he can “steal the limelight again” after moving to San Siro.

The United States international took the decision to head for Italy when bringing a four-year spell at Premier League heavyweights Chelsea to a close. The American forward did become a Champions League winner at Stamford Bridge, but struggled for form and fitness at times.

Pulisic has made an immediate impact at Milan, with two goals recorded through as many Serie A appearances after delivering a flurry of assists in pre-season. The 24-year-old appears to have rediscovered the spark that he lost while in west London, with his new colleagues excited by what the USMNT star has to offer.

Calabria has told of Pulisic: “We are talking about a player who was in top form on the world stage just a few months ago. His form dropped in recent months but he is a great player who has already shown what he’s capable of. This is the best environment for him – the squad, the fans and this stadium – in order to steal the limelight again. These recent games have shown he is adapting very well.”
