تلقى ليفربول تحذيرًا بشأن قرعة دوري أبطال أوروبا من قبل نجم مانشستر سيتي السابق ميكاه ريتشاردز.

وكان الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم قد أجرى أمس مراسم قرعة ربع نهائي دوري أبطال أوروبا، حيث سيواجه ليفربول نظيره بنفيكا، على أن يلتقي الفائز منهما مع الفائز من بايرن ميونخ وفياريال في نصف النهائي.

وقال ميكاه ريتشاردز في تصريحات نشرتها شبكة “ليفربول إيكو” الإنجليزية: “سيسعد مشجعو ليفربول بنتيجة قرعة دوري أبطال أوروبا، لكن اسمحوا لي أن أقدم كلمة تحذير”.

وأضاف: “داروين نونيز لفت انتباهي طوال العام وأثبت أهميته لـ بنفيكا مرة أخرى وقادهم إلى دور الثمانية”.

وواصل: “سجل نونيز هدفه السادس والعشرون هذا الموسم وهو يبلغ من العمر 22 عامًا فقط، إنه طويل القامة، قوي، يركض وراء الدفاع، ويعرف كيف ينهي المباراة”.

وتابع: “لقد سجل ضد بايرن ميونخ وبرشلونة وأياكس حتى الآن، لا تقلل من إمكانية قيامه بالمثل أمام ليفربول”.

يُذكر أن ليفربول ارتبط بإمكانية ضم نونيز في وقت سابق، مع تقارير تشير إلى أن بنفيكا يقدر قيمته بـ55 مليون جنيه إسترليني.

O São Paulo definiu a lista de 28 atletas relacionados para a viagem aos Estados Unidos, marcada para a madrugada desta sexta-feira. Horas antes da delegação partir para o Aeroporto de Guarulhos, a relação foi divulgada pelo site oficial do clube e contém o nome do garoto Shaylon, liberado da convocação para o Sul-Americano Sub-20 com a Seleção Brasileira.

A previsão de chegada para a hora do almoço em Orlando, para depois seguir de carro para Bradenton, em duas horas de estrada.

O primeiro treino na IMG Academy deve ser sábado, no dia 7. No dia 11, a ideia de Ceni é aplicar o primeiro trabalho tático. Nos dias 12 e 15, jogos-treinos serão disputados, o segundo contra o Boca Ratón (EUA). West Brom attacker Matheus Pereira would be a perfect addition for Leeds United this summer, according to former England international Kevin Phillips.

The Lowdown: Pereira shines for West Brom

The Baggies may have suffered relegation back to the Championship, but the Brazilian playmaker stood out for them throughout the season. The 25-year-old scored 11 goals and registered six assists in the league – an impressive tally, considering his team’s struggles – and he caught the eye with his overall quality.

Leeds have been linked with a move for Pereira this summer, although nothing too concrete has materialised as of yet.

Speaking to Football Insider, Phillips talked up the idea of the Whites signing the West Brom playmaker, claiming he would be a perfect fit for Marcelo Bielsa’s team as he said:

“I think it would suit their style. Leeds are an exciting, free-flowing team, you can express yourself in that side.

“We’ve seen that with players like Raphinha and Jack Harrison this year, that they can just go and play with freedom, but you have to be prepared to work your socks off and that’s something Pereira would have to take to another level.

“But it’s no surprise that a player like that, of that mould and ilk, is being linked with Leeds.”

The Verdict: Exciting addition

Pereira has the potential to be a great signing for Leeds, should their interest be genuine. His aforementioned end product speaks for itself and he would bring another level of guile to a Whites team who scored abundantly in 2020/21, smashing in 62 Premier League goals.

Not only that, he also averaged 0.8 tackles and 0.9 interceptions per game in the league this season, showing that he is also effective off the ball, which would no doubt appeal to the demanding Bielsa.

Pereira’s ideal blend of creativity and industry should indeed make him a good fit for Leeds, as Phillips has suggested.

The Lowdown: Big money bids submitted

Both Villa and the Gunners appear to be battling it out for the Norwich City star, with the Argentine seemingly certain to leave Carrow Road this summer.

Recent reports from The Sun suggested that both clubs have submitted bids worth £30m-plus, however, the Canaries are holding out for a bidding war between the two sides which could take a deal closer to £40m.

If Villa are aware of Buendia’s preferred switch to north London, we feel they should be making checks with alternative options.

One man who they may well turn to is West Brom’s Matheus Pereira.

Reports have suggested the Baggies have told the Brazilian he can leave the club this summer for the right price believed to be in the region of £15m.

Villa don’t rate Pereira as highly as Buendia, however, for half the price, the Baggies man could be a smart signing, especially considering he chipped in with 11 goals and six assists in a struggling West Brom side last season.
