اجتمع الدكتور أشرف صبحي وزير الشباب والرياضة صباح اليوم الأحد 4 أكتوبر بديوان عام وزارة الشباب والرياضة باللجنة المنظمة لبطولة العالم لكرة اليد النسخة الـ27 والمقرر إقامتها في مصر مطلع العام القادم 2021 بمشاركة 32 منتخبا.

وحاء ذلك بحضور المهندس هشام نصر رئيس الاتحاد المصري لكرة اليد ورئيس اللجنة المنظمة، الكابتن حسين لبيب مدير البطولة، الدكتور أحمد الشيخ المدير التنفيذي للمجلس القومي للرياضة ورئيس لجنة الاتصال الحكومي بالبطولة، وبعض من قيادات وزارة الشباب والرياضة.

تناول الاجتماع مناقشة الإستعدادات الخاصة بفنادق الإقامة للمنتخبات والوفود المشاركة بالبطولة، بالإضافة إلى الخطة الطبية للبطولة والتجهيزات الخاصة بها من إجراءات وقائية خاصة بفيروس كورونا المستجد كيوفيد 19 وما هو مطلوب من تحاليل وإجراءات خاصة بالمناسبات والوفود قبل الحضور إلى مصر والاجراءات والإرشادات الخاصة أثناء إقامة البطولة.

وأكد الدكتور أشرف صبحي أن الدولة المصرية بقيادة فخامة الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي رئيس الجمهورية توفر الدعم الكامل وجميع المتطلبات اللازمة لتحقيق نجاح البطولة والتي تعد الأكبر بمشاركة 32 منتخب لأول مرة في تاريخ البطولة.

وشدد صبحي خلال الاجتماع على ضرورة إنهاء كافة اللجان المعنية بالبطولة لكافة الاستعدادات الخاصة بها في التوقيتات المحددة.

من جانبه وجه المهندس هشام نصر الشكر لوزير الشباب والرياضة على جهوده الحثيثة في تزليل كافة العقبات التي تواجه اللجنة المنظمة وحرصه الشديد على تنفيذ كافة الأعمال وفقاً للمعايير والمقاييس العالمية.

يذكر أن المنتخب القومي لكرة اليد قد اختار اللعب في المجموعة السابعة بمنافسات البطولة مع منتخبات السويد، والتشيك، وممثل أمريكا الجنوبية وذلك خلال القرعة التي أقيمت بمنطقة الأهرامات بالجيزة.

أكد كافين جونسون المدرب العام لفريق الكرة بالأهلي الجديد أنه هدفه من الوجود في النادي هو التعاون مع موسيماني من أجل الفوز ببطولة دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

ومن المقرر أن يواجه الأهلي منافسه الوداد البيضاوي المغربي يوم 17 من أكتوبر الجاري في ذهاب نصف نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

وقال جونسون في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة “أون تايم سبورتس”: “فريق الأهلي الحالي حيوي وشاب من خلال متابعتي له، وسأغادر جنوب إفريقيا في الثانية بعد ظهر غدًا، وسأصل للقاهرة في صباح اليوم التالي”.

وأردف: “متأكد أن موسيماني لديه شخصية وقادر على التعامل مع المباريات المقبلة، وعندما أحضر للقاهرة سنضع كل طاقتنا”.

وتابع: “سنبذل قصارى جهدنا في تحقيق المكسب في هذه المباريات، وهدفي مع موسيماني هو التتويج بدوري أبطال إفريقيا”.

واختتم: “أقول لموسيماني أتشرف أنه طلب مني خوض هذه المغامرة معه، وسأعطيه كل احترامي وكل قدراتي لمعاونته لكي يعود للأهلي بما يجب أن يكون عليه”.

يُذكر أن الأهلي يستعد لمواجهة إنبي مساء الأربعاء المقبل، ضمن منافسات الجولة 32 من بطولة الدوري المصري.

It’s clear Everton need another big summer transfer window to reach Europe, right? There’s been lots of positive talk from the board, but the on-pitch performances haven’t lived up to expectations, and by the sound of the club’s director of football, this summer might not either.

Marcel Brands has seemed to distance himself from the prospect of signing a much-needed forward when the season’s over, telling the Liverpool Echo: “I think we are a very, very lucky club in England that we have three players with great potential who are just 21-years-old,”

On the impact a new signing might have on he said Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Ademola Lookman’s development, he added: “If I bring in a new player, a huge striker or a name, should I destroy one of them? It is also my goal to protect those boys. Everyone agrees with me that they have great potential and a great future.”

That doesn’t sound too promising for Evertonians hoping for more attacking muscle next season. It’s true those players are young and can develop into better players for the future, but Everton need results now, too. It’s important a striker in the prime of his career can lead the young players to succeed and take some weight off their shoulders.

The pressure is high now because big wigs at the club have talked up what a great future they envisage for the team. There’s a new stadium being built, money being pumped in during previous summers, and an attacking manager hired to create an identity. To make a team for the future, you must set the benchmark and begin achieving successes along the way.

These young players can’t be expected to be world-beaters already, but, as long as they’re in the starting line-up, they’re held to the same standards of any other aged player that wears the historic blue kit. It’s unfair and frankly irresponsible to not have more experienced players used to the pressure around them.

If Everton are to become an established European side, they must create a balance of youth and experience. At the moment, that simply isn’t present and it’s reflecting in their inconsistency.

It has been quite a six months at Southampton, hasn’t it?

After a dismal start to the season under Mark Hughes which saw the club pick up just nine points from their opening fourteen fixtures, owner Katharina Liebherr decided enough was enough and sacked the Welshman.

With the Saints languishing in the bottom three of the Premier League, it was a daunting task for any manager to come in and transform their fortunes, let alone someone who had no previous experience of working in English football.

Yet in the form of Ralph Hasenhuttl, the club found a charismatic individual who has given the supporters real hope of survival this season, banishing the doom and gloom that had previously surrounded the St Mary’s before his appointment in December.

Now 16 games into his Southampton reign, he has inspired his side to victories over the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur whilst also accumulating a total of 21 points. However, despite a promising start to life in charge on the south coast, the 51-year-old knows that his club are by no means out of the woods and face several crucial fixtures in the coming weeks to secure Premier League football next season.

In retrospect, Saints fans would probably have wanted Hasenhuttl to have taken over at the club at the start of the current campaign as based on the average points that he is recuperating per game (1.24), they would be on course for a total of 47, which would have seen them finish well clear of the bottom three.

When you combine this particular statistic with the clear improvement that players such as James Ward-Prowse and Yan Valery have made under the guidance of the Austrian then it becomes clear that Southampton should keep the faith in their manager regardless of how the season ends.

If they do end up being relegated to the Championship, they should follow the example set by Newcastle United who held fire on Rafael Benitez despite going down and later reaped the rewards by achieving promotion at the first attempt of asking.

كشف محمد أسامة رئيس الجهاز الطبي لفريق الكرة بالزمالك خضوع حازم إمام ومحمد عبدالغني لأشعة خلال الساعات الماضية للاطمئنان عليهما عقب الإصابات التي تعرضا لها في لقاء وادي دجلة الأخير بالدوري الممتاز.

وأكد أسامة أن حازم إمام يعاني من شد خفيف في العضلة الأمامية ويخوض حاليا تدريبات تأهيلية، لتجهيزه للمباريات المقبلة.

بينما محمد عبدالغني أثبتت الأشعة أنه يعاني من كسر في الأنف وعليه تم تركيب قناع واق بمكان الإصابة ليشارك به في التدريبات والمباريات.

وأوضح طبيب الزمالك أن إصابة عبدالغني لن تسبب له أي إعاقة أثناء تواجده مع الفريق، وسيقوم ببعض الجلسات العلاجية بشكل طبيعي أيضًا، حيث شارك اليوم بالفعل في التدريبات بشكل طبيعي .

ويستعد الزمالك لمواجهة فريق حرس الحدود في الجولة 33 للدوري الممتاز والتي تقام مساء الإثنين المقبل بالإسكندرية.

They couldn’t, could they?

Sheffield Wednesday’s hopes of reaching the play-offs seemed to have all-but fallen away during the reign of former boss Jos Luhukay who experienced a torrid time at Hillsborough before finally being sacked in January.

Yet after the arrival of Steve Bruce as manager last month, the Owls’ fortunes have turned around completely with the club now just two points behind Aston Villa who currently occupy the final play-off position in the Championship.

Although their run-in includes tough fixtures against the likes of Leeds United, Norwich City and Preston North End, it is by no means implausible that they could sneak into the play-offs if they continue to extend their current unbeaten run of ten games.

However, regardless on whether they achieve an unlikely promotion this year or face another season in the Championship, Wednesday must commit to making a decision on one of their most enigmatic players.

Since joining the Owls for a reported fee of £3m (according to the BBC), Fernando Forestieri has shown his fair share of individual brilliance. During his first campaign with the club, he fired in fifteen goals as Wednesday narrowly missed out on play-off glory after losing 1-0 to Hull City.

Over the following two campaigns, Forestieri continued his fine scoring form yet the Owls suffered promotion heartbreak once again before finishing in an underwhelming 15th position last season.

Although the Italian’s exploits in-front of goal has rightfully endeared him with the club’s supporters, it can be argued that he is a player who can either deliver a thrilling performance, or simply not turn up for his side.

During the 2018/19 campaign, Forestieri’s form has been lackluster to say the very least with the former Watford forward scoring just four times in eighteen appearances. A lack of involvement due to injury as well as team selection purposes has seen the 29-year-old miss 20 Championship fixtures this year, leaving the Owls to perform without him, which under the guidance of Bruce they have.

With Forestieri’s contract running out in 2020 (via The Star), it could benefit Wednesday to call time on the forward’s four year stay in Sheffield in the summer as they would be able to recruit a fee of some sorts for him.

Yet if the striker is to stay, he must step up to the plate in the club’s final eight games this season which will determine what level they will be playing at next year.

كشفت تقارير صحفية، عن القيمة السوقية للدولي الفرنسي كيليان مبابي مهاجم باريس سان جيرمان، في ظل رغبة عدد كبير من الأندية الأوروبية في التعاقد معه.

مبابي الذي كان هدفًا لـ ريال مدريد الإسباني، أصبح محط أنظار كبار أوروبا، ويبدو أن الصيف المقبل سيكون مشتعلًا للصراع على ضمه.

صحيفة “آس” الإسبانية، أفادت أن تكلفة مبابي الآن أصبحت 180 مليون يورو، مع انتهاء عقده في صيف 2022، وهذا من شأنه أن يخفض السعر خلال الفترة المقبلة.

في مايو الماضي، كشفت دراسة مدقق الحسابات “KPMG” أن سعر مبابي 177 مليون يورو، وعلى “TransferMarket” كان سعره 200 مليون، ووصل بعد جائحة فيروس كورونا إلى 180 مليونا.

The Championship automatic promotion race saw yet another dramatic twist occur last weekend.

Sheffield United’s 3-2 defeat at home to Bristol City allowed Leeds United to leapfrog them in the league standings whilst Norwich City’s victory at Middlesbrough saw them edge even closer to a return to the Premier League.

The manner of the Blades’ loss would have been a concern to boss Chris Wilder as his side were within 13 minutes of securing victory at Bramall Lane before Andreas Weimann scored twice to complete his hat-trick at the Robins. One of the key reasons for their collapse was the absence of midfielder Mark Duffy who was ruled out of the game after picking an Achilles injury in training (via the Star).

Although he was only expected miss one game, he is now a major doubt for this weekend’s crucial clash against play-off chasing Preston North End with the Blades expected to field Kieran Dowell in his position at Deepdale. Duffy’s impact this season has seen him score five goals and provide five assists for his teammates whilst also developing a fruitful midfield partnership with Oliver Norwood and John Fleck. Giving the fact that he could be missing once again for United, Wilder’s side face an uphill battle to continue their push for a top-two finish.

With the Blades currently two points behind Leeds in the league standings, they cannot afford to drop any more points with just seven games left to play. Therefore, they will be hoping that if Duffy can return against Birmingham City on April 10th if he is not fit enough to play on Saturday.

In a battle for promotion which is undoubtedly going to have an incredible crescendo in the Championship, it will be harsh on Wilder and his players if they miss out in May due to the injuries that they have suffered during the run-in.

Nottingham Forest manager Martin O’Neill handed goalkeeper Luke Steele his first Championship start since February 2018 against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night, and Reds fans delivered their verdict on the 6 ft 2 player both during the game and post-match.

The 34-year-old was given an opportunity by the former Republic of Ireland boss with Costel Pantilimon dropping to the substitutes’ bench, and it looked as though it was going to prove to be an inspired decision following an impressive first half where he pulled off one fantastic save.

However, just two minutes after half-time he was caught horribly out of position by Marco Matias who found the net from 35 yards, with the visitors to Hillsborough going on to be beaten 3-0 in Yorkshire.

With their faint play-off hopes fading, Forest supporters took to Twitter to have their say on their stopper’s display, and the majority weren’t pleased with him.

Unsurprisingly Matias’ strike was a popular talking point, and while one simply said “wow” – presumably having seen the goal – another said “Luke Steele didn’t see that coming”.
